This was in Q4, where advertising costs are generally higher than the previous 3 quarters of the year. So we knew we had to do something to combat that when starting off at such low spend of $250.
To achieve lower advertising costs, we started off with Carousel & Image ads on Facebook to warm up our ad account since all of our ads were in the Learning phase. These types of creatives take less share in the auction, and are generally cheaper (CPC & CPM wise). We were capped at a $250 per day spend limit by Facebook.
We tested BFCM creatives designed by our Graphics team displaying our product collection, carousel of our main product (showcase), as well as singular image ads for another product in our product line. Four creatives contributed to 100% of the Facebook Ads revenue.
For Snapchat Ads, we had a GIF created for retargeting, similar to the one we were using on Facebook, with different dimensions and colors & style geared towards the Snapchat audience demographic. For the LALs we were running on Snapchat, we had a hybrid video-ad created displaying our product through UGC and traditional studio style showcasing.
We hit a spend limit of $5,000.00 per day a few days into launching campaigns on our ad account, which is a standard limit set by Facebook. This required us to scale down as we had $5,000.00+ worth of daily spend scheduled for the day, a few days after the launch, we hit $120,000.00 with a net profit of nearly $38,000. This brand was grown in a short time frame from the relaunch, and done successfully.
