We were dealing with some bottlenecks while scaling this brand due to attribution issues, however we quickly implemented a non-third-party solution. We knew if we wanted to win long term we had to expand. We slowly added budget every day on to new platforms and solely measured performance via MER in a Sheet with platform, daily spend, ROAS, total spend, and total revenue columns. We measured advertising performance as a whole and never individually, we let unprofitable platforms run when profitable platforms would make up for it overall. This resulted in diverse traffic, and given that our backend was solid we were able to go recover abandoned carts and more visitors from the unprofitable platforms into sales. We just simply had to focus on the long term game which was to not become reliant on one platform.
Our Facebook Ads campaign structure is very simple, and this is the structure we have been trying to implement since early 2020. We have 1 scaling campaign which is entirely open targeting, creative testing campaigns, audience testing campaigns, and last but not least, retargeting campaigns. We keep a consolidated structure so we can better understand which campaign our conversions are being attributed to. This also prevents micromanaging and allows us to put more time towards high ROI tasks, such as creative work.
